The administration has the numbers to acquit the President from all the charges no matter how many credible witnesses and documental evidence the prosecution may present since most of the Senators had already prejudged the case on barking orders from Malacanang. One will not need to be a very keen observer to know this--it's quite obvious by the way they behave on their seats.

Erap's spin doctors are now implementing the "God Save the King" scheme by sowing intrigues and disinformation against people whom they perceived to be against the administration while manipulating surveys and going on a media blitz with the help of an American PR firm and millions of pesos in government money.

The administration is now confident that Erap will be acquitted from all the charges of wrong doings. For how one can explain the sudden turn around of the President on appearing before the Impeachment Trial despite his earlier pronouncements that he will answer all the charges against him point by point at the proper forum.

But all this machinations to hide the truth from the Filipino people will backfire.

The Filipino people will not let this Moro-moro which is now unfolding before their very eyes to happen and let the President off the hook that easily. They will not let themselves to be fooled, pushed around and swallow hook, line, and sinker whatever the government wants them to believe because their eyes and minds are now wide open after years of being deceived and manipulated by the powers that be!

They will support any means to remove the President from office if they think that they got the raw end of the process and at the end of the day justice is not served properly.
